The purpose of the Cookie Management Policy is to inform visitors and users of the I-TRACING site of the methods used by I-TRACING, a French société par actions simplifiée having its registered office located at 25 quai du Président Paul Doumer, 92400 COURBEVOIE, France, registered with the Nanterre Trade and Companies Register under number 484481127, (hereinafter “I-TRACING” or “We”) to deposit and manage cookies. It supplements the personal data protection policy [LINK] and applies to the www.i-tracing.com website (hereinafter the “Site”).

I-TRACING reserves the right to update this policy and will post any updates on its Site.

What are cookies and what do they do?

A “cookie” (or “tracker”) is connection indicator which refers to a text file that may be stored in a dedicated space on the hard disk of your terminal (computer, tablet or smartphone) when you consult an online service. It is transmitted by a website server to your browser.

Each cookie is assigned an anonymous identifier. A cookie enables its issuer to identify the terminal in which it is stored, for the duration of the cookie’s validity or storage. The cookie does not identify you as such; it is used to record your browsing information on the Site.

When you visit the Site, we may install various cookies, in particular advertising cookies, subject to the choices you have made concerning cookies, which you may modify at any time.

A cookie contains several pieces of data, including the domain name of the server that deposited it; its name; a value that generally serves as an identifier; and possibly an expiry date.

Cookies are used to collect information relating to your browsing on the Site, to offer you personalized content based on the data collected and also for analytical purposes (audience measurement).

There are two main categories of cookies:

  • Cookies deposited by I-TRACING on your terminal. They are generally used by I-TRACING to identify a user and enable them to access their account, if applicable, and the various functionalities of the Site.
  • Cookies deposited by a third-party service provider (hereinafter the “Third-Party Cookies”). These cookies may be used by the service provider to recognize your terminal when you visit other platforms. Third-party cookies are generally used for advertising or platform analysis purposes. The issue and use of cookies by third parties on our Site are subject to the privacy policies of such third parties.

What cookies are used and why?

The sole purpose of the Cookies placed on our Site is:

  • to ensure the proper functioning of the Site, the correct execution of the pages you request, and, where applicable, the conservation of your consent to the deposit of other categories of cookies; and to improve your experience throughout your visit to our Sites;
  • to enable us to understand how you access the Site and to track traffic in order to measure performance and help us improve the quality of our services and content;
  • to enable third-party service providers to offer you relevant marketing content on the Internet.

When you first connect to a page of the Site requiring your prior consent to the installation of a tracker, you will be presented with a banner to inform you, to collect your consent, and, if necessary, your personalized choices or your refusal to the installation of cookies.

Once you have completed this first step, you can go back to your initial settings and accept or refuse them by clicking on the dedicated label appearing on one of the sides at the bottom of your screen. In particular, you will be able to indicate your global preferences for the Site, according to the purposes and providers of the concerned cookies.

Cookies play an important role in the operation of our services. Their deactivation could (in particular for technical cookies) reduce or prevent access to all or part of the services offered by the Site.

I-TRACING uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the Site, for navigation on the Site’s pages, for the provision of services requested by the user, for the protection of the Site against computer attacks, and for the storage of your consent to the deposit of cookies (e.g. Complianz cookie).

These technical cookies are essential for navigation on the Site and do not legally require the user’s consent. However, you may choose to delete them in your browser, in which case their deletion may make it difficult or impossible for you to browse the Site.

Audience measurement cookies (technical cookies)

I-TRACING uses audience measurement cookies in order to measure the number of visits, the number of pages consulted and the activity of users/visitors on the Site, and thus to adapt the operation of the Site, as well as for the purposes of analysis and statistical studies.

How do I disable cookies?

You have several options for managing cookies.

You can first use the consent management banner to refuse them on first connection, or if you accept all or part of the cookies, go back over your choices by clicking on the label appearing on one of the sides at the bottom of your screen. This module enables you to indicate your preferences either globally for the Site, or according to the trackers by provider when cookies are not necessary.

Consent to the installation of cookies provided by Linkedin and Google Analytics is managed via Google Tag Manager. As a result, if you set the button to “authorize” or “accept” mode depending on the Site, all cookies provided by Linkedin and Google Analytics are installed. If you “refuse” or “block” the Google Tag Manager service, none of the cookies provided by Linkedin and Google Analytics will be installed.

You can also configure your browser so that cookies are rejected either systematically or according to the provider. For more information, visit https://www.cnil.fr/fr/cookies-et-autres-traceurs/comment-se-proteger/maitriser-votre-navigateur
